Norman Arthur “Buck” Rowley (1877-1954). He died of a stroke. He is buried in Union County Kentucky.

Mary Ann “Aunt Mamie” Rowley (1886-1968). She was the daughter of James Alexander Rowley and Julia Hodge; wife of Lambert French. She is buried in Uniontown Kentucky.

James Alexander Rowley (1850-1912). Son of Robert E. Rowley (the Great). He was a part time country doctor, deputy sheriff, and farmer. He died of a stroke and is buried in Morganfield.

Julia-Etta “Etta” Rowley (1889-1915). Youngest daughter of James A. Rowley and Julia Anna Hodge. She died of Tuberculosis or Asthma. Buried in Morganfield Kentucky.

Mary Ann Duval (1821-1875). Daughter of Lucius Claiborne Duval and Tabitha Adams Russell; wife of Robert E. Rowley (the Great). She is buried at Antioch Cemetery, Union County Kentucky.

Robert Emmet Rowley (1881-1970) and wife Eleanor McEuin (1905-1989). He was the grandson of Robert E. Rowley (the Great). Both are buried in Oklahoma City. This picture was taken in 1935.

Gravestone of Major Rowley, (1787-1854). Born in King George County Virginia, died Union County Kentucky. Veteran of the War of 1812. He is buried in the Major Rowley Cemetery, Union County Kentucky. Epitaph on stone: “I die in Hope”. At the time of his death, he owned 15 slaves.

Kenneth Hodge Rowley (1876-1940). He was the son of Robert Lucius Rowley and Lucy Hodge; husband of Minnie Mainard. He is buried in Oklahoma City.


Mary V. Rowley (1834-?). She was the youngest child of Major Rowley and Lya Skinner; sister of Robert E. Rowley (the Great); wife of Dr. J. J. Barnett. They settled in Tennessee.

Robert E. Rowley (the Great). 1814-1880. He was the son of Major Rowley and Lya Skinner. He died of a stroke and is buried at Antioch Cemetery, Union County Kentucky. This portrait dates from about 1865 and was done by Douglas Studio in Evansville Indiana.

Cora Lee Rowley (1874-1966). Oldest child of James Alexander Rowley and Julia Anna Hodge; wife of William T. Whitfield. This tin-type picture shows Cora Lee at about age 6.

Grover Cleveland “Cleve” Rowley (1883-1940). He died of a stroke on New Years Eve.
